Funding Opportunities

Students who meet the requirements may be eligible for scholarships, grants, and other financial assistance to aid them during their co-op experiences.

Research Co-op Fund

Please check back soon for updated program information.

The research co-op program is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and allows students to explore research co-op experiences in a funded capacity. Funds are distributed to 25 faculty members annually who are conducting cutting edge research and have demonstrated an interest in mentoring an undergraduate co-op student.

International Co-op Initiatives

Students with a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher participating in Steinbright's international co-op program are automatically considered for stipends to support the increased expenses that come with living and working abroad including travel and living expenses.

Gift Funds and Grants

Gift funds come from external donors including private individuals/families, foundations, and dedicated employers in support of the ideals and goals of Steinbright's cooperative education program. These gifts are often earmarked for specific programs or purposes including:

Steinbright Partners Program

The Steinbright Partners Program provides vital financial support for co-op students who want to work in unpaid positions within the United States.

Fellowship Information

Fellowships are funded opportunities that come in all shapes and sizes. These external awards can fund international and domestic opportunities for research, study, service, mentoring, networking, or other professional experiences. They vary in how competitive they are, though generally, larger or more prestigious awards receive more applications and thus are more selective.

What they have in common is that these are all programs funded by sources outside the university, such as governmental agencies, charitable foundations, or professional associations. They are nationally or internationally competitive, meaning there is usually a large applicant pool drawn from all over the US (and sometimes the world). Our office supports Drexel students and alumni in their pursuit of fellowships.

Learn more by visiting Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs (UREP) in the Pennoni Honors College, where you can learn about specific fellowships and make an appointment to meet with their professional staff who can guide you through the process.
