Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement to Evaluate Drexel Department of Public Safety Communications Center and Police Department
The Drexel University Police Department (DUPD) and Drexel University Public Safety Communications Center (DUPSCC) are seeking assistance from the University community in their law enforcement accreditation process by requesting participation in a public information portal or written comments to the Commission.
A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®) will conduct an onsite visit from June 23-26, 2025, to evaluate all aspects of DUPSCC and DUPD policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency personnel and members of the Drexel and surrounding community are invited to offer comments at a public information public access portal:
If any individual cannot access the poral but would like to provide comments to the assessment team, they may do so by writing to: Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement, Inc. (CALEA®), 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, Virginia 20155.
The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement and Public Safety Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) was created in 1979 as a credentialing authority through the joint efforts of International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA), Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) and Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International, Inc.
