Weather Related Closings and Delayed Openings

In the event of a closing or delay to the daily opening of a campus, the University will provide the notice via web, email and the DrexelALERT system. Closing or delayed opening information will be posted on drexel.edu.

Students in clinical settings should always contact their clinical supervisors/clinical instructors to determine if they should report. Drexel University physicians remain open and maintain normal business hours regardless of weather.

*Please note that 711 is the three-digit number for Telecommunication Relay Service (TRS), a service that enables individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to communicate via phone.

For iPhone:

  1. Enable RTT/TTY:
    • Go to Settings > Accessibility > RTT/TTY
    • Turn on Send Immediately if you want text to transmit as you type
  2. Make a Call:
    • Open the Phone app and select the contact or dial the number
    • Tap RTT/TTY Call
    • Type your message, and it will be sent in real time

For Android:

  1. Enable RTT:
    • Open the Phone app
    • Tap the three dots or settings icon, then go to Settings > RTT (real time text)
    • Turn on RTT and configure settings like Always visible during calls
